Ildeberto de los Santos Ruiz (I. Santos-Ruiz) received his Engineering degree in Electronics and his M. Sc. degree in Mechatronics from the Instituto Tecnológico de Tuxla Gutiérrez, Mexico, in 1995 and 2014, respectively. He receives his PhD degree in Automatic Control, Robotics and Vision from the Polytechnique University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2021. Since 1995, he works as a Full-Time Professor at the Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, where he teaches different undergraduate and graduate courses. He has also served as a teacher at the Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas, the Colegio de Bachilleres de Chiapas, the Universidad Valle del Grijalva, and the Universidad del Valle de México, among others. His research interests are modeling, simulation, diagnosis and control of physical systems using machine learning techniques and computational intelligence.
